Position Summary: 
The Director of Training and Development will lead and enhance our onboarding, training, and development programs for our Sales Consultants and Sales Management teams. This person will champion our customer experience and ensure expertise in our consultative, one shot close, sales techniques. They will also help with leadership development, as these are critical components of our sales success and growth.

This role is pivotal in cultivating an engaged, high-performing team that embraces our mission and delivers excellence. The Director will be responsible for creating engaging content and executing training programs that accelerate our new hires' proficiency and provide ongoing development at every stage of their careers.

Key Responsibilities:
New Hire Onboarding:
  • Design and implement onboarding experiences that immerse new hires in our values, mission, and culture, ensuring they start their journey with a sense of belonging and motivation.
  • Organize in-person onboarding sessions for their first week in addition to virtual content to be completed remotely as they transition into the market.
  • Set up our new hires to find success in consultative selling within their first 90 days.
Sales Staff Development:
  • Develop and execute continuous learning initiatives and training content to strengthen our sales team skills and support them in achieving their goals.
  • Focus on consultative sales techniques and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Leadership & Management Development:
  • Create and deliver programs that advance leadership skills across all levels of the field organization to build a strong internal talent pipeline.
Content Creation:
  • Craft and adapt engaging training materials, presentations, and resources for both new hires and existing staff seeking to advance their skill sets.
  • Utilize various formats to engage multiple learning styles, including in-person training, virtual events, videos, and interactive modules.
Learning Management System (LMS) Management:
  • Manage our LMS to ensure it provides the tools our team needs to excel in their roles.
  • Keep content up to date, assign coursework appropriately, track user completion, and partner with field leadership to evaluate content effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
Travel:
  • Available for up to 33% travel to support training initiatives across our locations.
Qualifications:
Experience:
  • Proven background in training and developing sales talent in a retail setting with high-ticket items and a one-shot close.
  • Experience with content creation is required.
  • Expertise in teaching performance management, handling employee relations, and implementing talent development processes with a focus on retention and building a strong internal bench of talent.
Tech:
  • Proficiency in managing LMS platforms and creating engaging online training modules for diverse learning styles.
Leadership:
  • Exceptional people management and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire and develop talent.
  • Demonstrate our values and lead by example, showcasing accountability, passion, and innovation.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary:
  • Competitive base salary range of $130,000.00-$160,000.00 + Performance-based bonus program
